A freelance florist in Portland, Oregon, Alana Weintraub Nielson has been designing stunning florals for weddings and events since 2001. Her floral career started in the floral department at natural food grocery stores, Nature’s, Zupan’s, and Whole Foods. She studied at the Floral Design Institute in Portland after falling in love with floral design and wanting to focus on weddings and special events! She has designed for several high-end floral-shops before launching her own independent floral business, Flowers by Alana.
